Инновационные спиралевидные линзы повышают дальность зрения
Французские учёные из Лаборатории фотоники LP2N спроектировали революционный вид спиралевидных контактных линз с тремя различными точками фокуса.
Благодаря форме спирали создаётся своего рода оптическая воронка, попадая в которую свет закручивается как вода при сливе в раковину. Так как линзы изготавливаются по цифровым технологиям, количество витков спирали может изменяться под конкретные задачи.
Эксперименты с добровольцами показали выдающиеся результаты — в новых линзах буквы были одинаково хорошо различимы вне зависимости от расстояния и степени освещённости. среднем были видны достаточно четко.
Правда, над качеством изображения в ряде ситуаций нужно ещё поработать, иногда оно уступает классическим контактным линзам.
