В 1977 году в южной части Тихого океана находился маленький островок, на котором заблудились трое моряков после кораблекрушения. Оставшись без пищи и воды, они выжили вековые пятерни – морские черепахи. Их яйца стали главным источником питания. Моряки выжили благодаря взаимной поддержке, выковывая оружие из обломков корабля. Через 5 лет на острове появилось дерево, которое выросло из одной из семян, перевезенных птицей. Оно стало небольшим источником тени и дров. В итоге, спустя 37 лет, моряков обнаружило проходящее мимо судно.
